What great pictures! One thing I love about spring is watching the birds. Thanks for sharing.

My goldfinches are just starting to turn. Saw a bright yellow one on Monday that really caught my eye. Nice photos:)

Glorious!

Oh, the little Goldfinches! Its so sweet how they put on their summer plumage for us. Isn't it grand when you have a Goldfinch, a bright red Cardinal, and (when I am really lucky) a brilliant blue Indigo Bunting all at the feeder! Like a gift for our eyes.

Hi, I just found your blog from Akiko's site. Your photographs are as beautiful as your paintings. Heartfelt sympathies to you about Benny. Best regards,Liz

Wow, so bright! I wonder if there are goldfinches around here, I don't think I've seen them since I moved to CA. We do have lots of green parrots though!

What beautiful birds! We get many red house finches here, not goldfinches.
You also like Ladyhawke! I thought not many people even know about this movie.
By the way, there is a correction to the rules. This award is for miniature or ACEO artists. The corrected version of the rules is on Mona's blog as well as mine.

They must not only be great to look at, Kathleen, but I'm sure the birds sound lovely too.

Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful photo's Kathleen. I just love birds and we occasionally get Goldfinches in our garden, but mostly Blue, Great and Coal Tits, Robins, Sparrows to name but a few.
Look forward to your next post.
Warm Wishes
Julie.

Kathleen,

Awesome pix of the goldfinches. I really should put some feeders out. But keeping birds in my house as I do, I leave the feeding of outdoor birds to others.
