Landscape painting - Late Afternoon Hay Bales

Late Afternoon Hay Bales
8 x 8 inch, acrylic
© 2010 Kathleen Coy

I took some photos of hay bales last month driving through western Nebraska, thinking how much fun they would be to paint, and I was right... they are. This may be the beginning of a hay bale obsession...

I have to agree, with several previous comments, there could be worse obsessions!:-) I have also seen these sights many times, and you have captured it beautifully.

As a note - you became an inspiration to me Kathleen after I stumbled accross your blog. I was in art for five years in Jr/High school and forgot about it afterwards. I recently remembered that and have started in art again.

Thanks and keep up the beautful work and may it bring you and others joy!
