Angry BBQ is angry...

Come on, Angry BBQ. I have Spring fever too, but February in the Midwest means that it can be 60 degrees one day, and the next day we can have our biggest snowfall of the year. I know it's cold Angry BBQ, but just look around you at how beautiful it is...come with me and lets walk around the back yard...

I've never seen the patio lights look so lovely!

The sky looks so blue today.

Everything wears a cloak of white...

that could fall off at any moment.

Logs become figures lying in the snow.

Meditation Bench is meditating.

The simplest things are stunning if you stop to look at them.

Stand under the pergola and look up. Why Angry BBQ, is that a smile?????

See, Angry BBQ, it's a beautiful day.
Lets enjoy the snow. Spring will be here before we know it.

  1. Love the photos, love the angry BBQ! I think our chances of any real snow besides flurries are gone for another year.

  9. Heehee, thanks guys. I can't take credit for the angry bbq picture, that came from the lolcats. It's one of my favorites, though!

Jessica, the patio lights were here when we bought the house, so I don't know where they came from. I took another photo cuz they have icicles on them now and look super cool! I'll post it soon. And congrats on your dog portrait commission! I totally want to see it! If you don't blog about it, I hope you send me a picture or something. :-)

  15. Your photos are just lovely, and very serene. I love angry BBQ and can definitely relate! Winter needs to make a hasty retreat because the thrill is gone. However, your pictures were much appreciated, if nothing more than making me thankful that we no longer have snow. :)

  16. Our BBQ is only moderately angry, parked in the relative safety of the garage. But you will see spring long before we do in Vermont.

  18. Hi Kathleen,
Your perspective of the backyard was amazing, thank you. I've recently had one of those, bumps in the head...I need to slow down. I'm not 'seeing'. My daughter sent me a pic of a puddle that looked like a heart, had she not labeled it, I don't think I'd have seen it.
A student told me she was joining a new movement started in Calif. She grinned and told me it was called 'Slow'.
So between the two above and your beautiful pictures...that's the magical three...I simply must search out my inner muse and join 'Slow'. Thank you, and yes, I am feeling better today! Take care, k
