Greyhound Painting

Capone, 12 x 12 inch, oil on panel

Another recent greyhound painting. A VERY similar pose to the previous post.. However, in addition to being a different dog altogether, the lighting situations are completely different. (Strong sunlight vs overcast light.) It's interesting how many different ways a similar pose can be painted. I like the dreamy feel to this piece.

I wanted a timeless feel to this painting, with its classic, beautifully sunlit pose. I enjoyed every minute of this painting.

Legendary Greyhound sire, Molotov

It was a great honor to be asked to paint the legendary greyhound sire, Molotov, as a gift for his owner. Molotov was his heart dog, and I'm told he still visits his grave often to talk with him. This painting is special to me, as Molotov is my greyhound Sephiroth (Do Hicky)'s great-grandsire.

A fun little commissioned painting of a greyhound girl named Freckles.
